It’s with great sadness that the Family of Verlin announce his passing on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Due to his kind heart and friendly nature Verlin lived his life to the fullest. Verlin was an avid player in baseball, hockey, and eight ball pool. In his adolescent and early adult years, he participated in the sport of Rodeo as a team roper, and played in the minor and adult hockey league. He also played for the Cochrane Generals hockey team. Verlin also enjoyed helping out anyone, especially at cultural gatherings and family summer camps. With his outgoing and comical personality his favourite catch phrase was “what a real holay”.
Verlin was raised on the Eden Valley Reserve, attended elementary school and later by the age of 12 years old he moved back to Morley to complete his education. Verlin was employed as a Security Guard in Morley. His last employment was at Safeway in Cochrane.
