James "Jim" Robert McIsaac

September 6, 1951 — July 3, 2025

Calgary, Alberta

Jim McIsaac passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the age of 73 years.

Born in Coleman, Alberta and raised in Calgary from the age of six, Jim was a man who lived life on his own terms. A true hard worker, he built his career in the auto parts industry, earning respect for his no-nonsense work ethic.

Jim was a proud original—he wore his tattoos long before they were fashionable, each one telling a story from the early 1970s. He had a passion for wrestling, a love for his Harley Davidson, and enjoyed video games.

Saturday mornings were for hearty breakfasts, good coffee, and even better conversation. Jim never missed a chance to get out and meet people. He had a style all his own—never one to blend in, especially through his choices of attire.

Above all, Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He lit up around his three granddaughters and cherished every moment watching them grow.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit rides on.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debra "Debby" McIsaac (née Comstock); sons, Russell McIsaac, Bion McIsaac (Laura Wakeford); granddaughters, Katelynn, Alexis, Gabriella; sister, Bonnie Jean Meena of Wasa, B.C.  and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Eileen Jean McIsaac (née Kennedy) and Gerald “Gerry” Ronald McIsaac; brother, John McIsaac; brother-in-law, Wayne Meena and mother-in-law, Jewel Evelyn Comstock (née Marshall).
