Tucker MacLeod passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the age of 1 year and 6 months.
With hearts aching and love overflowing, we announce the passing of our sweet son, Tucker Frank MacLeod at the tender age of 1 year and 6 months. Though his time with us was far too brief, every moment he spent on this earth was filled with extraordinary love and a spirit that touched all who knew him.
Born into a world that presented him with some health challenges. Tucker met each day with quiet courage, surrounded by the constant, unwavering love of his devoted parents. They held him through the hard days, celebrated the good ones, and filled his world with safety, laughter, and warmth.
Tucker had a soft spot for his Rootbeer chapstick—a little comfort he loved since birth. The bathtub was one of his happiest places, where he could float peacefully, and enjoyed his gentle noggin rubs and chin tickles. His face would light up during his favorite movies—Encanto and Moana—especially when the music began to play.
Music was a special joy in his life. Time spent in Music Therapy at Rotary Flames House and Alberta Children's Hospital brought him calm, connection, and a chance to shine in his own beautiful way. He also adored all of his stuffies and never left the house without at least two of them by his side.
But more than anything, Tucker was his Daddy’s boy. Long before anyone else noticed, he could hear the rumble of his father’s truck rolling up. In his eyes, his Dad was a superhero—and in truth, the feeling was mutual.
Tucker's spirit was strong, loving, and unforgettable. He taught those around him about presence, patience, and the unmeasurable power of love.
He leaves behind his adoring parents, Katie Zipser and Brendon MacLeod; grandparents, Kathy Zipser, Donna Jackson, John (Caroline) MacLeod; aunts and uncles, Sarah (Miles) Hesselgrave, Brian (Cindy) Zipser, Sarah MacLeod, Suzie Firth; extended family, and a community of nurses, therapists, and caregivers who will never forget Tucker, the boy with the gentle soul. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Zipser.
Rest gently, sweet boy. You are so loved, and always will be.
