Helen Simon Lomaga

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Helen Simon Lomaga who passed on Monday, April 6,2026 at the age of 26 years.

Helen Lomaga was born on August 21, 1999 in Cairo Egypt. She was born into a loving family of Simon Zacheriah Lomaga from Dugu Tribe in Wau Bahar El Gazal and her mother, Grace Frumena Lomare from Pojulu Tribe in Lainya County in Central Equatoria.

Helen had two brothers, Lino Simon Lomaga and Yohana Simon Lomaga who passed on in 1997 and she had one sister, Emmanuella Simon Lomaga and her nephew Malakai. Helen was the last born to her parents.

In 2000, Helen’s family immigrated to Canada to look for a better life, not only for them but for their children as well. From the very beginning, Helen brought joy and light into the lives of those around her. She grew up surrounded by love, and it was clear early on that she had a special gift—she was kind, warm, and full of life.

She is survived by her mother, Grace & stepfather, Matthew; sister; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
