Donald Paul Osment

Don Osment was born on March 5, 1948 in Gault, Ontario to Lawrence and Gladys Osment, who predeceased him. He one of 9 children and is survived by of this siblings David, Bob, Betty, John and Anne. He is predeceased by two brothers Bill and Alfred, and a sister Hazel. Don is survived by his wife Olga, a large extended family and many friends.

Don loved his story of finding truth and loved to share it. He found it literally one day while at the laundry mat, there on a chair were 3 Watchtower magazines. Upon reading them he immediately knew he had found the truth, so the search was on. Don eagerly searched for the Brothers who left these treasures and in time he did, a Brother Lawrence Eidle, a pioneer. Don happily started a Bible Study and was baptized on March 7, 1976 in Norval, Ontario. He faithfully served Jehovah for 50 years, and also worked on construction projects, quick builds for some 25 years. Many remember Don to be quick to share a scripture and usually followed by a bad joke. "Dad jokes" were Don's jokes and brought many groans. He also loved talking about his car, a 1968 Chrysler. You would always feel better after leaving a meeting than when you first arrived. He will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th at Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 127 - 44 Street SE at 2:00 pm. Cremation at Foothills Crematorium.
