Mary Anne Lennox

Mary passed away Friday, October 30, 2026, after a tough fought battle with cancer.

Mary was born in Calgary, Alberta, growing up on farms in rural areas outside the city. Mary had a passion and natural talent for gardening and art. Enjoying many hours working in her yard tending to multiple gardens. When not working in the yard, Mary would often be drawing, painting and crafting. Always coming up with new ideas and projects for gifts and holiday decorations. Especially for Christmas, her favourite of the holidays, Mary loved having family together for gatherings. She was a very giving person who always put her children's needs above her own.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children William Lewis (Toni), Carroll Lewis (Less), George (Tammy) Ferris, and Priscilla Ferris (Tim) (TJ); grandchildren, Gordon (Courtney) MacCharles and Brian Simms; great-grandchildren Nathan, (Trenton); extended family, nephews, nieces and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her father, George Chester Read and mother, Maartje Read. 

There will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place at the Foothills Crematorium.
