Wendi Lee Grieve

May 30, 1959 — October 7, 2023

Wendi Grieve (nee Taylor) of Calgary, beloved wife of Bill Grieve passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the age of 64 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Bill; sons, Chris (Becca) of Calgary, AB and Lee Grieve of Okotoks, AB; their grandson, Logan; her siblings, Debbie (John) Martin of Okotoks, AB and Mike (Trudy) Taylor of Calgary, AB.

Wendi was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Delorna Mae Taylor.

Wendi enjoyed a long career in the oil and gas industry. A career she flourished in. Wendi was the first woman to graduate from the Drilling Technology Program at SAIT in 1984; an accomplishment that led her to being successful and respected by her colleagues in the petroleum industry. Wendi was employed by various Petroleum companies throughout her career and ultimately had her own petroleum consulting business for many years. Wendi loved to travel. She visited many places with Bill and friends making memories; Wendi and Bill were looking forward to traveling the world during their retirement years.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Mckenzie Towne AgeCare for their compassionate care the nine weeks that Wendi was with them.

A celebration of life will be held for Wendi at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.
