The family of Wayne Edward Shannon would like to announce his passing after a valiant battle with illness on 8 November, 2018. Wayne passed peacefully in his sleep at Chinook Hospice, Calgary, Alberta. He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle and grandfather. There was simply no limit to his generosity in offering time to assist others around him who were in need. Wayne is predeceased by his parents Jack and Evelyn Shannon. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years and partner of 20 years, Lynn Shannon; his daughter Frankie Ramsey, stepdaughters Amanda and Tabitha Bennet; sister Elaine Gardner and brother Larry. He will also be missed by his nephews and nieces and 6 grandchildren. He will be forever loved, forever missed and never forgotten.
A viewing will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn chapel 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary on Sunday 11 November, 2018 10:00am – 12:00pm. A private celebration of life event will be held at a later date.
