Wanda Lea Darrah

Wanda Darrah passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the age of 77 years with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Beth Haley (David), Mac Proctor (Betty), Kelly Proctor (Cindy) and Lorraine Dunbar (JR); 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister Vicki Pettes (Phillip); and many other relatives and friends. Wanda was predeceased by her husband Melvin Darrah June 5, 2014 and her eldest son Rocky Proctor July 2, 1977.

Wanda will be remembered for her kindness, wonderful cooking, hard work and tenacity. She loved the Christmas season, but more than anything loved her family and treasured them. She was a wonderful mother and we will miss her and her strength dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held for Wanda at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:30 am. Special thanks is extended to the wonderful caregivers at the Fanning Centre for their care and attention of Mother during her stay. You blessed her life!
