Walter Rene Banke

Walter (Wout) Banke passed away at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his wife Johanna (nee Weyzig) of 64 years who was by his side at Agecare Glenmore care home in Calgary, AB where they lived. 

He was born in Indonesia, moved to the Netherlands, and then took his young family to live a wonderful life in Canada in 1967. He is survived by 4 children, Peggy, Arnold, Renee and Anthony, 2 sons-in-law Patrick (Peggy) and Jim (Renee), 5 grandchildren (Elishah, Elizabeth, Kayleigh, Karli, Raymond), 3 great grandchildren (Isabel, Isaiah and Kaden) and predeceased by 2 grandsons Elijah (1990) and Elias (1990). 

We will miss him tremendously and are grateful for his generosity, kindness, great spirit, amazing sate!, and great smile. We love you dad, rest in peace. 🕊️ You are free. ❤️

The family invites you to join them at the Funeral Mass Friday, April 19th at 11am St. Anthony’s Parish 5340 4th St SW.
