Vivian Julia Carruthers

April 7, 1941 — February 15, 2020

Vivian Julia Carruthers, daughter of Stanley Mills and Julia Conroy, passed away at Dulcina Hospice -Covenant Care surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the age of 78. Vivian was the devoted wife of Kenneth Carruthers (predeceased). Vivian was a Loving mother of Christina Hillier (Doug), Nicole Ragguette (Aldrick), John McILravey (Diana), John Babin.

Proud Grandmother of Michelle, Sarah, Anthony, Aaliyah, Iyasha, Lain, Dominic, Renaldo and Ijah, and Great-Grandmother to Alan, Dominic, Shawn, Austin, Cynthia, Alexandra, Kaden, Great-Great Grandmother to Finn (7mos).

Dear sister of Muriel Shea (predeceased), Evelyn Cameron (sister) and Ron Mills (brother). She also left numerous nieces and nephews, Michael Shea (Lynnette) Caitlin, Julia, Cheri, (Dave) Mimi, Chuck (Janice) Meghan, Arielle.

We rejoice for heaven has received a Handmaiden a Mighty Covenant keeping Vessel and a General of the Kingdom.

We glorify God for the life of our beautiful Mom. We worship God for the priceless gift to have such a Mom that was a selfless servant, selfless giver and an example of what a covenant keeping vessel is.

She has run this race and what a beautiful Victorious Win. You are crowned by the Father, and I am sure He echoes these beautiful words you have done well good and faithful servant.

She was a mighty Matriarch and Partner and Financial Pillar in the work of the Kingdom of God. A powerful Intercessor and Kindhearted Woman of Grace, she was Mother to many of the Su- pernatural Life Centre Family (formally known as Destiny Place Church). She was the Threshold of her entire family. She epitomized humility, exemplified generosity and charac- terized obedience and submission to God’s will. She brought joy to many, gave encourage-ment to all she encountered. Her voice echoed through the auditorium of the Calgary church each Sunday to edify the saints. She lived a life that was free and full. She has left a behind a great legacy and matchless faith that will be passed down from generation to generation to generation.

Vivian went to nursing school in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she received her Diploma and worked and served as a nurse for over 40 years. She worked in the Rockcliffe Nursing Home in Scarborough, Ontario for many years before the family moved to Calgary Alberta.

In Calgary she continued her nursing at Brentwood Nursing Home, Bowcrest Nursing Home to name a few and lastly the Foothills Hospital, Tom Baker Center in unit 46 and 47.

When she retired from nursing she began selling Mary Kay where she recurved many awards and recognition for her passion in beauty care.

We take from you joy!!! You never looked sad.

We take from you help, always helping and being there for everyone

We take from you listening, being slow to speak and listen attentively.

We love you!

Vivian will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life service for family and friends at Supernatural Life Centre, 4215C – 11 Street NE Calgary, AB, T2E 6K4, on Monday, February 24 at 5pm.
