Vera Schneider

Vera Schneider passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the age of 94. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Diane (John); grandchildren Robin (Collin), Tascha (Jason), Shona (David); Sister Ferol (Edward); brother-in-law George; great grandchildren Taras and Sofia. She was predeceased by her husband Adam, and sisters Alice and Florence. Vera was born in Gladmar, SK. She met and married the love of her life Adam and they began their family in Saskatchewan. They moved to the Calgary area in 1949. Vera loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, camping, walking and watching hockey. She had a special place in her heart for her great grandkids and they remember their GiGi always having a smile for them. A Visitation will be held for Vera at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will then be held at the same location on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Calgary Meals On Wheels (www.mealsonwheels.com).
