Thomas Charles Dickison

December 28, 1938 — October 24, 2017

Thomas passed away peacefully in the Peter Lougheed Hospital on October 24, 2017. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Armstrong; his children: Rick (Janice) Dickison, Kathy Findlater, Allen Dickison, Ron (Heather) Dickison; 9 Grand Children; 14 Great Grand Children; his sisters: Doris Dickison, Mary Jo (Mary) Dickison, Joan Anne Dickison; and his brother Richard (Marie) Dickison. He was predeceased by his father James Dickison, his mother Isobel Gamble, his step father George Gamble, and his first wife Joy. Thomas was a Sergeant in the Canadian Forces and served from May 1956 to March 1979. Thomas was proud of his record as a chef serving thousands of troops over the years. His family was also a benefactor of his excellent culinary skills. It should be noted that if Thomas was preparing a meal there was always leftovers. Thomas was a Past Master of Hussar Lodge AF&AM #130, a Past Patron of Hussar Chapter OES #92, and a Noble of Al Azhar Shrine Centre. Thomas and Jacqueline cherished their 20 years together. We are planning a celebration of Thomas’s life on Nov 4, 2017 at 2 pm at the Banquet Room, Prince of Peace, at 285030 Luther Rose Blvd, Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
