Theodore “Ted” Vandergaag

Ted Vandergaag passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the age of 63 years.

Ted was born in Calgary, Alberta and lived in Calgary, Alberta as well as St. Albert, ultimately returning to his hometown. Ted was a happy soul who had a great sense of humour. He loved sports, hockey, football, both CFL & NFL, thoroughbred racing, and golf.  He was an avid reader, and loved Tom Clancy & John Grisham. He certainly had a thirst for knowledge, and for trivia as well. Ted was a gentle soul. He truly grew into the role of listener but loved conversation. He was a kind person, who exuded warmth, patience, humility, and perseverance.

Ted is survived by his siblings, sister Edie (Al) Kolt; brothers, Bob, Don (Maureen); as well as nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Brittany, Clay, Cole and Milo. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred (2003) and Eunice (1998); brother, Richard (2000); and nephew, Cody (2015).
