Terence (Terry) John Shaw

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 Mr. Terence (Terry) John Shaw, beloved husband of Barb Shaw from Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 61 years.

Terry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He lived in various cities in Canada and Germany due to his father serving in the Canadian army. The family moved to Calgary in 1975. Terry graduated from Central Memorial High School. After high school, he worked many years in the concrete industry, as well as the City of Calgary in the waste and recycling department. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on August 31, 1985. Terry was a proud father and loved his children very much. His interests included photography, playing several instruments, singing karaoke, and jamming with his children and friends. Terry also enjoyed golfing, skiing, sailing, and swimming. He also earned his lifeguard certificate.

Besides his loving wife, Barb, of 36 years, Terry is survived by his children Alex of Calgary, Sarah and Corey of Edmonton, Alberta, Cameron and Janine of Calgary; his mother Shirley Shaw; his siblings Kathleen and Dimitri, Joanne and Ron, Tony all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Terry is predeceased by his father, Terence Shaw.

A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Eastside City Church, 1320 Abbeydale Drive SE, Calgary.
