Taycen Caid Ephraim Beaver

It is with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, we announce the sudden passing of Taycen Caid Ephraim Beaver who returned to our creator on Wednesday May 10, 2023, at the age of 21 years.

Taycen was an adventurous, humble, brave, caring, and unimaginably generous person. He had a sense of humor and was very protective of his sisters. He regularly reminded his family he loved them and never stopped using the words “I love you”.

He enjoyed listening to music and creating art through drawing and making furniture.  Throughout his life, he made many friends from all walks of life. Taycen received his education at Morley Community school and as young adult he played hockey in both treaty and provincial tournaments with his late brother, Dace. He played up to the Bantam level.

Taycen is survived by his mother, Leah Beaver; his father, Todd Poucette; his siblings, Xica, Simone, Cassiaus and Jomerson; as well as his niece and nephew Giana and Cooper; His maternal grandparents, Jeanette and Papa Vidal Sr; His extended maternal grandparents (great aunties and Uncle), Ramona Wesley, Lena (Adam) Wildman and Margery Powderface, Alice, Thelma, Verna (Tyrone) Beaver, and Daniel Wildman; Paternal grandfather, Lionel Labelle; and extended paternal grandparents Eldra (Brian) Snow and Joe and Gardner Poucette.

He is also survived by his aunties, Melvette Beaver, Nathanie Beaver, Mandy Beaver, Chelsi Powderface; and his special Auntie, Leilani (Jose) of California whom he called his second mom. His maternal Uncles, Niel, Seth, Vidal Jr, Ellis (Tamara), Kyen Wildman and Levon Fox; His Paternal Uncles, Lyman (Bernie), Rodney ‘geeyo’ Poucette; and numerous cousins on his maternal and paternal side.

Taycen also had numerous friends within the city of Calgary and his special friend/adopted mom Davina Rider. Tarensa Kooteney and Jolanda Abraham

Taycen is also survived by extended families from the Wildman, Poucette, Beaver and Fox families.

He was predeceased by his brother, Dace (Jan 2021); his maternal grandfather, Melvin ‘Mobbin’ Beaver (March 2020); His paternal grandmother, Evangeline Poucette (Dec. 2014); His close cousin, Memphis (Sept. 2021); His cousin, Vasily Wildman (Aug.2019); Rose Beaver (May 2020), Arthur Wildman (May 2022), and  Iliena Wildman (Jan 2020). He was also predeceased by his great grandparents, Bert and Ramona Wildman.

Friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. until Noon on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Pierson’s Funeral Service, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta.

Wake will commence on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the residence of Jeanette Wildman, Morley, Alberta. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Bearspaw Youth Center, Morley, Alberta with burial at the Goodstoney Cemetery.
