Stephen James Dynes

Stephen James Dynes, affectionately known by family and friends as Steve, entered this world on October 7, 1954, in Ontario and departed this life on July 3, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta.

Steve was a man of notable character; with a fiery personality and unrelenting sense of humour.

He had a passion for golfing, often found enjoying the greens with friends. This pastime was more than just a hobby; it was an opportunity for Steve to connect with nature and share laughter on the course, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by those who had the pleasure of joining him. When Steve wasn't golfing, he could be found volunteering with the Chestermere Food Bank.

In addition to his many friends, Steve leaves behind his daughter, Kirsten Dynes; his siblings, Ruth Campbell, Laura Dynes, Tim Dynes, and Mark Dynes. Together, they hold the memories of their father and brother close to their hearts, celebrating his life and the profound impact he had on each of them.

He is predeceased by his mother, Gloria Dynes; his father, James Dynes; and his brother, Phillip Dynes. They were integral to his life, shaping the person Steve became and continuing to influence those left behind.

A memorial service to honor Steve’s life and legacy will take place on August 15, 2025, at Pierson's Funeral Services located at 4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2A 0T1. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, concluding at 2:00 PM. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and pay their respects as we celebrate the wonderful life of Stephen James Dynes.

His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will continue to share stories of him.
