Stella Drews

Stella Drews passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 83 years in Calgary, AB. Stella was born on September 3, 1932 and was raised in Boyle, AB. Stella thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially being a part of family dinners. Wherever she went she seemed to have a camera in her hand because she had a picture of every event and happening in her life and the life of her family. She will be missed by her family which includes her husband Norman Drews whom she was married to for 64 years; her children Maureen (Gordon) Maxwell, Laura (Brian) Harris; her grandchildren Val (Jason) Bryan, Brad (Jess Remple) Maxwell, Michael (Leslie) Harris, Victoria (Daniel) Bryce, Drew Harris, Dustin (Paige) Drews, Cary Drews; her great-grandchildren Drayden and Dominik; and her very dear friend of many years Marie Jackson from Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her son Darcy Drews and her parents. Stella had pen pals from all over the world and remained in contact with them. She had a vast doll collection which consisted of all types of dolls including vintage Barbie dolls. She particularly loved her flower bed and making it look beautiful. She was quite proud of her Ukrainian Heritage. A Celebration of Life will be held for Stella on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 6908 Rundlehorn Drive NE from 1 to 4 pm.
