Stanley Harold Mcgill

Stanley Harold McGill passed away on September 25, 2022 at the age of 70. He will be greatly missed by his partner of 17 years Shelley Vandurme; his siblings Shirley (Ken) Ramsay, Jim (Deb) McGill, Marvin (Jane) McGill, Gloria (Rick) Beaudoin, Ron McGill (Diane), and sister-in-law Jean McGill.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews that he cherished, Christina (Terry), Brenda (Gary), Gerald (Deanna), Theresa (Francois), Sharon (Todd), Bryan, Bradley, Sheryl, Randy, Greg, Jody, Jackson Jr., Tyler (Andrea), Cassandra (Alex), Jason (Molly), Heather (Mike), Justin (Melissa), Kathleen (Cole), Corey (Nicola), Daniel (Dominique), Shawn (Callie), Terry, Darcy (Katie), Cody and Ashley.
He is predeceased by his parents Dorothy and John Henry McGill, as well as his siblings Alice (Peter) VanGrinsvan and Jack McGill.
Stanley was employed for many years at Fiberglass in Sarnia Ontario. Because of the plant closure, Stanley found himself moving to Calgary where he spent his remaining years. Stanley was an animal lover who had a massive passion for horses. He was easy going and had a big heart. Stanley is remembered as being reliable, someone you could always count on, who wouldn’t hesitate to help. Although Stanley didn’t have kids of his own, he was a family man who would give anything for his family and would light up speaking about them. He spoiled his nieces and nephews with love and would take them on horse rides. He was a hockey fan who enjoyed hunting in the fall and loved life to the limit. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
In Lieu of flowers, donations accepted to the cancer society, heart and stroke Foundation and Diabetes foundation.
A public Visitation will take place for Stanley at 10:00-11:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Pierson’s Funeral Service 4121-17th Avenue SE, Calgary.
