Sophie Theresa Harbarenko

On Monday, November 6, 2023 Mrs. Sophie Theresa Harbarenko, beloved wife of the late Edward Samuel Harbarenko, of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 82 years.

Sophie was born and raised on a farm in Barrhead, Alberta. She married the love of her life, Edward, in Edmonton, Alberta, and together they moved to Calgary. Sophie believed in hard work, and was a fantastic baker as well as a cook. She took a big interest in sports and had a wealth of knowledge on the statistics of various sporting teams and their players. Another one of her passion was that she loved to sing and dance. Sophie started to slow down upon the death of her loving husband, Edward, of 51 years. The two are united again.

Sophie will be fondly remembered by her loving family: daughters Shelly and her husband Donald Trudeau of Calgary, Alberta, Connie Greening of Vancouver, British Columbia; and one grandchild, Madisson Trudeau and her boyfriend Max of Calgary.

Private family prayers have taken place. Cremation took place at Foothills Crematorium. Sophie’s urn will be interred at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Edmonton, Alberta.
