Sofia Ciavardini

In loving memory of Sofia Ciavardini of Calgary, Alberta, born January 28, 2002, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and friend. It is with profound sadness that the family announce Sofia’s sudden passing on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the tender age of 20 years.

Sofia will be dearly missed by her parents Margaret and Elio Ciavardini; her siblings Paul Ciavardini and his wife Terri of Edmonton, Alberta, Loredana and her husband Kevin Murphy of Cheney, Washington, Olivia Ciavardini and her fiance Kane Stileborn of Edmonton, Samuele Ciavardini of Calgary; and nieces Giuliana Murphy, Sheridan Murphy, and Carmen Murphy all of Cheney, Washington.

Sofia had a profound respect for all living things and the environment. She was an accomplished artist who loved to draw, and participate in musical theatre. Some of Sofia’s favourite activities included cosplay, video games, swimming, and cycling in the mountain parks.

Relatives and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from Pierson’s Funeral Service, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held for Sofia at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – West Stake Center, 6560 Silver Springs Crescent NW, Calgary.

Following the service there will be a time of fellowship in the Cultural Hall. Interment will take place at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
