Shirley May Bell

Shirley Bell passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the age of 85 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years Bob; children Leslie (Tom) McCormick, Don Bell and Stuart (Sue) Bell; grandchildren Jessie, Brady, Brett, Emily, Erin and Devon; siblings Doug Morrison of Bellingham, WA, Donna (Carl) Mattson of Rockglen, SK, and Betty Morrison of Calgary, AB; many nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Murdoch “Doc” & Florence Morrison.
Shirley was born in Buffalo Gap, SK and raised in rural SK. She met and married Robert “Bob” Bell in Moose Jaw, SK and they started their family there. After a short time in Estevan and Saskatoon, the family eventually made Calgary their home, which is where they have lived ever since. Shirley enjoyed knitting, cooking, and reading. She will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends.
At Shirley’s request, there will be a private family gathering. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (

).
