Shawn Stanley Manners

Shawn Stanley Manners passed away at home on July 10, 2016 at the age of 24 years. Shawn was born on July 16, 1991 in St. Thomas, ON to Samantha Manners and Charles Johnson. Shawn completed high school and graduated from Parkside Collegiate. He eventually relocated to Calgary, AB and worked as Steel Framer. He worked for Midwest Contracting Inc. as a Steel Framing Foreman. Shawn was a very energetic young man with a lot of courage and an adventurous spirit. He had a big heart and enjoyed spending time with his buddies. He could always be counted on to make people laugh. When he wasn’t working, Shawn loved to go dirt biking and fishing. Shawn will be lovingly remembered by his dad, Charles Johnson; sister, Becky Jo Johnson of St. Thomas, ON; grandparents Beverly Goodall, Clem Slauenwhite, Larry and Wendy Taylor; his aunts Cherri-Lyn Taylor and Tabitha Manners of St. Thomas, ON; his uncles Michael and Cory Taylor of St. Thomas, ON; and his many close friends who were like family to him. Shawn was predeceased by his mother, Samantha Manners. A Funeral Service will be held for Shawn at 2 pm on Monday July 18th at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Avenue SE).
