Sharon Ann Nickerson-Kroeker, affectionately known as Chey, was born on November 30, 1953, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on August 21, 2026, at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by her loving family. Chey was the beloved daughter of Florence and Benoit Deveau, who predeceased her, and she carried their love and values with her throughout her life.
In addition to her sons, Chey was a loving stepmother to Larry's children, Scott (Kristine) Ryan (Lisa) and Richard (Robyn), embracing them as her own and fostering a family bond that will endure.
Chey was also a cherished sister to Nancy Macisaac (Mike) of Hebron, NS. Their bond was a source of strength and comfort, and they shared countless memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.
Chey was also an avid traveler and photographer, capturing the beauty of life through her lens. Her photographs tell stories of adventure, love, and the simple joys that life has to offer. She had an adventurous spirit, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories with her family.
In honour of Chey, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Longview Hall on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and tears as they remember the beautiful soul that Chey was.
As we say goodbye to Sharon Ann Kroeker, let us remember her as a woman who embraced life with open arms, who loved fiercely, and who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the music she created, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
