On Sunday, April 20, 2025 Sandra Joan May (nee Boucher), beloved wife of the late Allan Richard May, of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 73 years.

Sandra was born on Saturday, September 8, 1951 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She spent her childhood in Winnipeg and, with an adventurous spirit, later moved to Calgary where she raised her four spirited boys. Throughout her life, Sandra dedicated herself to her family, always supporting her husband Al and creating a warm and loving home for her children.

Sandra was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be remembered.

Sandra was a master in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes to prepare for Sunday dinners, a tradition she deeply cherished. Family gatherings were always filled with favorite treats, from refreshing diet A&W Root Beer and apple juice to a delightful spread of nine varieties of cheese. Her ability to bring family together around the table was a true testament to her love and devotion.

As a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Sandra found profound joy in every moment spent with them. She eagerly accepted every opportunity to babysit, creating beautiful, lasting memories that they will carry with them always.

Sandra was not only a treasured family member but also a dear friend to many at Sunrise Pointe, where she enjoyed countless hours engaging in delightful conversations, shopping trips to Costco, and meals at local steakhouses. Her vibrant personality made her a beloved presence in her community, and she touched the lives of those around her.

In her leisure time, Sandra pursued her creative passions, including crafts, sewing, and genealogy, and enjoyed rummaging through thrift stores, always on the lookout for hidden treasures. She adored animals and formed a special bond with her newest companion, “Scottie”, alongside the many other pets that had graced her life.

Sandra Joan May's spirit of generosity, love for life, and deep commitment to her family and friends will be profoundly missed. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
