Roy Lloyd “Too-Tall” Bearspaw passed away suddenly on September 25, 2022 at the age of 73.
He is survived by his Children; Christopher Rollinmud, Riel (Felicia) Rollinmud and Kimberley Rollinmud, His Brother; Gilbert (Florine) Francis, His sisters; Brenda ( Morley), Charlene (Clarence), Buffy (John), Lorraine (Lawrence), Bernardine (Wyatt), and his adopted Brother; Donald (April) Heavenfire, His grandchildren; Kelvin, Kaylie, Annisa (Noel), Summer, Riley, Madison, Taylor, Riley, Dakota Rollinmud, Georgia Vee Crawler, Jason, Matthew, Billie-Joe Rollinmud, Ozrick, Orlando, Jaden and Hanson Bearspaw. He is also survived by his Great-Grandchildren; Meilani Rollinmud, Fanatanna Rollinmud, Aubree Rollinmud, Ndamukong Rollinmud, Kia Rollinmud and Brody Rollinmud. His numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, associates and Bearspaw, Rollinmud, Twoyoungmen, Abraham and Ear family. We apologize if we missed anyone.
Lloyd had a heart of gold and was a big brother to all. His passing is a tremendous loss to the community.
Lloyd was a man of many talents and skills. He first gained employment at a sawmill. However, he had a passion for cars which led him to become a mechanic which he did for many years. Lloyd got into bullfighting after being inspired by his grandfather; Hanson Bearspaw. He later became a barrel man who always kept the crowd entertained, which gained him a good reputation in the rodeo circuit and the community.
Lloyd enjoyed playing golf and pool. He was always willing to teach anyone in the community how to play. Lloyd also spent some of his time refereeing and playing hockey. He was a talented musician who played bass in his band, Stirrup high. Lloyd could play anything with strings! He also enjoy playing bingo and spending time at the Grey Eagle Casino where he was well known by the staff.
He loved to travel and enjoyed taking road trips with his family. His favorite place to visit being Deadwood, South Dakota.
Lloyd was also a longtime employee at the Chiniki gas bar where many came to know him.
Lloyd was predeceased by his Grandparents, Hanson and Eunice Bearspaw; His parents, Roger SR and Gladys Bearspaw; His wife, Cleone Bearspaw; His children, Stanley Rollinmud, Jade Rollinmud and Wade Bearspaw; His Brother, Marty Bearspaw; His sisters, Joyce Mark, Beverley Daniels, Gwen Bearspaw, Winnie Bearspaw and Evelina Bearspaw.
Wake Services will be held at the Residence of Brenda Bearspaw (Morley, AB) On Monday October 3 and Tuesday October 4

2022. Services will be held at the Morley Youth Center October 5 2022 at 11 am with Graveside to follow at the Chiniki Cemetery. Traditional feast to follow.
