A hardworking man, Ron spent eight years as a salesman for Fuller Brush before founding R & R Enterprises and later Dome Style Construction. His commitment to his community was evident in his efforts to managed low-cost housing in Canmore, making a tangible difference in the lives of those around him.
Ron proudly served in the Air Force for 12 years, a period that took him to France, where two of his beloved children were born. Ron and Bernie's third child was born in Canada. He embraced the discipline and camaraderie of military service and carried the values learned through this experience throughout his life.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Ron was known for his adventurous spirit. He was a bit of an adrenaline junkie who loved to fly planes and obtained his pilot's license when he was close to 50 years old, an accomplishment he cherished deeply. His zest for life extended to thrilling activities such as white-water rafting, which he continued to enjoy well into his 60s and he continued piloting into his late 80's.
Ron was a devoted family man, leaving behind his cherished children: Debbie (David), Brian (Alana), and Bruce (Cesha). He was the proud grandfather of Christopher (Michelle), Lyndsay, Michael (Alycia), Danielle, and Cassidy, as well as a great-grandfather to Sophie, Abigail, Alix, Gavyn, and Krystyan. He also leaves behind his sister, Micky, who has been a source of support and shared memories throughout their lives. Ron cherished his close family friends, Deedee and Suzi, who played significant roles in his life and brought him much joy.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Bernie, whose love and partnership were a cornerstone of his life. He also mourned the loss of his siblings, Robert and Ellen, carrying their memories in his heart.
As we remember Ron, we celebrate a life filled with love, adventure, and lasting impact on everyone he touched. He will be sorely missed, but his legacy will live on through the stories and experiences shared by his loving family and friends.
