Rodney Dale Andersen

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 Mr. Rodney Dale Andersen of Vulcan, Alberta, formerly of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 65 years.

Rod was a kind soul that would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you really needed it. He loved the sparkle of diamonds and gold, had an eye for things that glittered, and loved the value of money. Rod would have owned a treasure chest full if he could.

As well, Rod enjoyed cars. He loved the vintage vehicles that he could restore and bring back the value. Rod was a complete man when he became a Grandpa. He loved his grandsons with all his heart. When they would leave after a visit there was a hug, high five and possibly a wet willy to go with it. Rod’s friendly personality, kind heart and unique sense of humor will be missed by all his family and friends.

Rod is survived by his son Jason Andersen of Medicine Hat, Alberta; grandchildren Liam Andersen, Louis Andersen; Cherinna Martz, Ronalda Neville, Richard Andersen, Shelly (Jerry) Jordan, Dawn (Cus) Andersen, Allen or Jim (Richelle) Andersen. Best friend Joy Brown step children Jewel Brown (Alex) of Calgary and their child Nova, Crystal Grant (Aaron) of Vulcan and their children Damion (Taylor), Brody, Aiden (Clarissa) and their child Easton, Stephanie Neufeld (Dalon) of Midway, British Columbia and their children Chase, Curtis, Merek, Calleigh, Zebulan, Skarlitt; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Rod was predeceased by his mother Mary Edith Williams and his father Ronald Christian Lee Andersen; his siblings Peter Cory Shawn Williams (Andersen), Robin Phillip Williams (Andersen), Leonard Vern Andersen.

A memorial service for Rodney will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Pierson’s Funeral Service, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Interment of Rodney’s urn will follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
