Roberta May Hamilton

Roberta Hamilton passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at the age of 58 years.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roberta May Hamilton, in Calgary, Alberta, on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 58 years.

Roberta was born on May 31, 1968, at Holy Cross Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta. She spent her childhood growing up in the Calgary communities of Bowness and Montgomery and attended Van Horne School. Throughout much of her life, she worked in customer service.

She loved spending time on the computer, and her favorite game was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a pastime that brought her countless hours of enjoyment. She appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and especially cherished the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren, who brought deep happiness to her life.

Along with a special fondness for the color pink, Roberta adored butterflies, and had a lifelong love of cows, her favorite animal. She was also devoted to her cherished Shih Tzu, Gizmo, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship.

Roberta will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary-Lou Hamilton; children, Kimberlee Hamilton-Chaulk (Leon Chaulk), Lawrence Hamilton (Amber Chomeczko), Kelly Gerrie (Mathew Walker); grandchildren, Sophia Chaulk, Autumn Chaulk; siblings, Shirley (Marty) MacDonald, Margaret Hamilton, Lori (Paul) Hart; nephew, David Block; several other nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Robert Hamilton; sister, Mary MacDonald; brother-in-law, Gary Hart; niece, Angela Genereaux.
