It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" "Bob" Peacock on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta.
Born February 13, 1957, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was the beloved son of Robert and Anita Peacock. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Tom, Dale, Mark, Ken, and sisters, Kerri and Allie. They are heartbroken by the loss of their brother but find a bit of comfort knowing he is finally at peace.
Bob lived a full eventful life; he was known for his adventurous spirit and many lifelong relationships. He made Calgary his home many years ago where he met and married the love of his life, Ella Laviolette.
Together, Bob and Ella built a supportive life for many members of the Metis community, while creating a family life centered on love as they raised 2 beautiful daughters: Liz (Adam, James) and Marilyn (Kayla, Shaun), they overcame many obstacles together but still made sure they kept a strong connection to each other.
In 1993 Bob experienced the heartbreaking loss of Ella after losing her battle to cancer. Despite the tremendous loss, he continued to move forward with strength and determination that defined him. He spent many years working as a roofer and handyman in the Forest Lawn Community, where he became well known for his hard work and willingness to help others.
His granddaughter Kayla, (Kaiden, Kallen) held a very special place in his heart. The love he had for her and her children was unmistakable. "He loved us and he loved his music; I loved that about him. It was his happy place when he would listen to Janice Joplin or Waylon Jennings for hours". She will never forget all the things he did to be the best grandpa he could be and will be forever grateful to have him as her grandpa. "I'll love and miss him forever" -Kayla
As the years went on, Bob found companionship with Wendy and spent the last 10 years doing the things he loved most. Enjoying time with friends, preparing meals together and just relaxing in front of his big screen T.V. She will miss him dearly.
Many evenings were spent at the Spot Pub and Grill where Bob became known for his tough-love personality, his sharp sense of humour and above all his genuinely kind heart. If anyone needed something, he was there to help. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Spot Pub and Grill in Forest Lawn (4408 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) to share memories, laughs, cries and even a beer in Bob's memory. Date and Time to be announce at a later date.
Forever in our hearts.
Thank you to Pierson's Funeral home for their support as we navigate through this difficult time.
