Born in Vulcan, Alberta, Bobby will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and love of life. In his younger years, he enjoyed baking and cooking, sharing meals and treats that brought people together. In later years, he became a wonderful dancer, a two-stepper who lit up the floor with his easy rhythm and joy. Music was always a part of him, and with his guitar close at hand, he filled many hearts with song.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ida Heintz and Stanley Mainland. Bobby is survived by his children Jamie, Dallas, Duncan, Dustin, and Rochelle, stepchildren Brandon and Brittany, 13 grandchildren, his siblings Sheryle, Beverly (Art), Kathy, Pamela, Tracey (Jim), and Chantelle (Warren), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Forest Heights Community Hall, 4909 Forego Avenue, Calgary, Alberta.
