Robert James Smith

SMITH, Robert “Bob” James August 23, 1940 – July 10, 2013 Bob Smith passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 72 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Darrell (Gia) Smith, Kelly (Cathie) Smith and Krystal (Dave) Kitchen; grandchildren Sarah Yuzicapi, Jen Yuzicapi, Amanda Smith, Ayden Kitchen, Ella Kitchen and Sage Kitchen; sister Darlene (Bruce) Koch of Lomond, AB; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James & Majorie Smith, sister Eleanor Darago and brother Wayne Smith. Bob was born in Brooks, AB and raised in and around Vauxhall and Lomond, AB. In his early working years, he worked as a truck driver, which he was very proud of throughout his life. He eventually moved to Lethbridge where he began his career as a real estate agent. He eventually made Calgary his home where he has lived ever since. A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
