Robert "Micheal" Hassall

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Robert "Micheal" Hassall on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 87 years.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, lived on the West Coast and resided in Calgary for the last 46 years. Michael enjoyed playing the piano and loved golf. He always had a cold beer ready for visitors! Michael and Marie really enjoyed winters in Arizona - golfing, entertaining, and playing cards with terrific friends.

Micheal will be lovingly missed by his wife of 67 years, Marie Hassall (née Kristjanson); children, Colleen Johnson and Phil Hassall of Calgary, Alberta; son-in-law, Paul Boulanger of Texada Island, British Columbia; 3 grandchildren, Brandi (Ron) Miller of Texada Island, British Columbia, Micheal (Jennifer) Boulanger of Vernon, British Columbia, Luke Hassall of Calgary, Alberta; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Karin Boulanger from Texada Island, British Columbia.
