Robert Harold Pearson

PEARSON, Robert Harold April 10, 1940 August 15, 2012 Beloved Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72. Bob is survived by his wife Shirley, two daughters Kelly (Jim) Mourits and Kari Pearson (Steve); two grandsons Gerard (Deanna) Mourits and Cory Mourits all of Calgary. Bob is also survived by his brothers Tom (Connie) Pearson of Oliver, BC and Randy (Adrienne) Pearson of Edmonton; sister Rita Brown of Vancouver, BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his parents Winnie and Oscar Pearson and his sister Doreen Klatt. Bob was born April 10, 1940 in Edmonton and moved to Calgary in 1957. He married Shirley Butler on December 15, 1962. Bob worked for Calgary Transit, retiring after 33 years. Bob also worked for a short time for Airporter Shuttle Service. Bob enjoyed spending time in his garage, building and tinkering with his cars and odds and ends. Bob had animal magnetism, whichever animal got brought home ended up being his Best friend. He loved driving bus and meeting numerous people from all over the world. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family. Thanks to Dr. B. Badenhorst and clinic staff, Dr. Pinella, Holy Cross Site Staff, Peter Lougheed Hospital Emergency Department and Rockyview Emergency staff. A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121- 17 Avenue SE) on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1:00P.M. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2B 2P5) or the Calgary Humane Society (4455 – 110 Avenue SE, Calgary, T2E 2T7).
