Randal Stephen Burtis

Randy was born on September 2, 1969. He passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary on December 17, 2019. Randy was a loving, nurturing father and husband with a deep, abiding faith is Jesus Christ. He was a children’s pastor at Centre Street Church, a published author and a talented magician.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cara; their daughters, Katie and Julia; his mother, Heather and cousin, Mitch Bell and all of Cara’s family.

Randy’s final hours on Earth were spent surrounded by his whole loving family; a peaceful end to a full, although short life. We rejoice that he is now pain free and dancing with Jesus.

We invite you to share in a celebration of his life! Please join us at 11am on Friday, December 20 at Centre Street Church in Calgary. The service will be live streamed for those unable to attend. Link will be posted when available.

The family would like you to know that the service will be very family friendly, child sensitive and no casket or ashes will be present.

All are welcome to join the family for a luncheon following the service at 12:15pm. No internment to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honour of Randy to Samaritan’s Purse.
