After a courageous battle with cancer, Peter passed away peacefully at the age of 68 years with his son Darryl and loving partner Helen Holder by his side. He is survived by his children Darryl Drewniak and Chrissy Brown (Richard); grandchildren Chelsey and Kayla Drewniak-Snyder, Bryson and Miranda Drewniak and Justin and Jordan Brown; his siblings Mike (Anne), Pauline, Jean, John (Margaret), Orest (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his wife, Gail (of 45 years); son Tracy; infant daughter Carrie; parents Nick and Mary Drewniak; sister Helen and niece Arlene. Special thanks to the Staff and Volunteers at Carewest Sarcee Hospice and the Tom Baker Cancer Center. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Peter’s Life on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 1:30 pm at the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion #10 (230 Second Ave, Strathmore). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion #10, the Lions Club of Okotoks or the Tom Baker Cancer Center. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
