Peter Lyle Black

Peter Black passed away at the age of 67, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, surrounded by the love of his daughters and wife. Peter is survived by his wife Janet; his two daughters Tara and Lisa (Shawn) from former wife, Deb; father Glenn; and brother, William. He was predeceased by his mother, Isabella.

Peter was born on February 3, 1955 in Red Deer and started his schooling there. In 1980, he ended up in Calgary, where he worked for a telecommunications company, and in 1986, he started a family. Peter was an amazing handyman around the house or in the garage. He had a heart of gold, and was always willing to help family and friends, whether it was home improvement, working on a vehicle, or any project that needed an extra set of hands.

Peter possessed a strong work ethic towards his occupations, was a dedicated family man, and had a group of lifelong friends. He enjoyed playing cards, loved being outside, and one of his favorite pastimes was sitting fireside while camping.

He was an incredible father, a loving husband, and will be missed by all who knew him.
