MARENDIUK, Paulette Alvera “Vera” March 6, 1946 February 20, 2013 It is with great sadness the family and friends of Vera announce that she passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Vera, as she liked to be known as, was an amazing lady. She devoted her love to her family and mainly her son Darcey. She was born in Emo ON, on March 6, 1946. Her family came to Calgary when she was young, she worked at a daycare. Vera is survived by her son Darcey (Allison); her long time friend George Peters; her brothers Billy, Orton, Tommy, Richard, Clifford, Norman and Marvin Tilley; as well as her sisters Mildred and Berniece; her granddaughter Jeanna and her great grandchild Skye; as well as other many family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Merv Marendiuk, her parents Norman and Hilda Tilley; sisters Alice and Evelyn; brother Francis; nephew Ricky; niece Rosie; also her sister-in-law Shirley and two brothers-in-law Walter and Stan; as well as numerous other family members. Vera will be greatly missed by many that knew her. A Celebration of Vera’s life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Avenue SE) on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 1:00p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 noon.
