Patricia Lynn Millington

Patricia Millington passed away on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at the age of 71 years. She was born in Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1947 to Raymond and Winnifred Abbey. While in England, she worked as a telephone operator for Hull Telephone.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Barry Millington as well as her siblings Norma (Peter) Canty and Alan (Allie) Abbey of England. She will be greatly missed by her 7 children, Russell (Randi) Millington, Kathryn (Dennis) Falconer, Bridgette (Joe) Viola, David (Marilyn) Millington, Amanda Parkin (Jason Bucholz); Steven Millington and Wendy (Cameron) Earl; 18 grand-children Taylor, Carli, Christian, Suwen (Sherwaine), Javon, Jordayne, Makayla, Austyn, Jordon, Alyssa, Caitlyn, Jaydon, Willem, Michael, Kinsley, Carter, Logan and Erica.

Patricia had many interests and hobbies including painting, geneology, crocheting, quilting, reading and sewing but she most enjoyed spending time with her children and grand-children. She possessed a caring and happy personality with a sharp and witty sense of humour. Also tending to be reserved and proper, Barry would often delight in offending her “delicate sensibilities”.

A Funeral Service will be held for Patricia at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Monday May 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm. with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
