Oriole Katherine Belanger
July 7, 1932 — May 7, 2017
On Sunday, May 7, 2017, the Lord peacefully took Oriole Katherine Belanger (nee Lindstrom) home at the age of 84 years. Oriole is lovingly remembered by her family, including her four children and their spouses, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her brother Alton Lindstrom’s family, and her brother Glen Lindstrom and his family. Oriole was predeceased by her loving husband, Goldie Peter Belanger and her brother Alton Lindstrom.
Oriole was a loving, caring, compassionate woman who was always thinking of others. Even in death she continued her mission by donating her body to science.
Her life was one grand journey that included many camping trips, world travels, and family lefse cooking and Yahtzee nights. She turned her home into a safe haven in which she accepted everyone no matter what time of day or reason. She treated everyone with fairness, kindness and love while instilling these characteristics into her children and grandchildren. Her light could also be seen in her 57 years of service with the CWL (Catholic Women’s League).
We want to thank you mom for your guidance and teaching us to walk in right from wrong, to forgive & love.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Oriole at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525-45 Street S.E., Calgary) on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Oriole’s name.
