Olive Theresa Emmerson

Olive Theresa Emmerson, born on April 29, 1958, in Shawville, Quebec, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in Calgary. She lived a life marked by warmth, devotion, and an enduring commitment to her family and community.

Olive was cherished by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry, with whom she shared many years of companionship and love. Together, they nurtured a loving family that reflects Olive’s gracious spirit.

Her children, Stacey (Trevor) Shable of Chestermere, Shannon (Dave) Breel of Calgary, and Stephanie Emmerson of Calgary, were a constant source of pride and joy. Olive’s legacy extends through her thirteen grandchildren—Brittany, Liberty, Emily, Tyler, Riley, Brooklyn, Dyllon, Angalic, Veelo Mauricio, Dalilah, Matias, and Layla—each carrying forward her values and caring nature. In addition, she was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Clive, Royce, Myles, Avery and Jonah, who brought light and laughter to her later years.

Olive’s family also includes her siblings Ronald, Denise, Diane, Cecillian, Celina, Charlene, and Christian, who remember her fondly and whose lives she touched profoundly.

She was predeceased by her parents, Cherubin and Alice, whose memory she held dear throughout her life. Olive also mourned the loss of her granddaughter, Lilianna, whose absence creates a poignant silence in the family’s circle, and her sister Celine, whom she dearly missed.

A devoted member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Olive faithfully attended services and found great comfort and community in their church family.

A visitation to honor Olive's memory will be held at Pierson's Funeral Services, located at 4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary, AB, T2A 0T1, Canada, on June 10, 2026, starting at 7:00pm. Tributes will begin at 8:00pm. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to come together and celebrate the remarkable life Olive led.

Olive Theresa Emmerson’s memory will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a heritage rich in love and kindness, one that will continue to inspire her family and community for generations to come. Her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication will forever be cherished.
