Norma Eileen Bogle

January 18, 1927 — October 16, 2020

Norma Bogle passed away peacefully at the age of 93 with her loving family surrounded by her side at the South Health Campus.

Mom was raised and educated in Medicine Hat, Alberta where she married Monty Montgomery and together they moved to Calgary. After Monty passed away, she continued to work at Gulf Oil and continued raising their son, Scott, and daughter, Kim.

Norma and John Bogle were married in 1969, blending their families to include Linda, Eileen and Debbie. John and Norma spent a good part of their retirement traveling around the world keeping scrap books of all their travels. They also enjoyed skiing and golfing together. Norma felt very pleased to be a mom to John’s daughters who were so loving and caring to her through the years and helped her enjoy her life until her passing. Norma was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crafting, using her sewing skills to make things for her grandchildren. Mom enjoyed baking and excelled in her calligraphy for over 24 years winning awards for quilting and calligraphy. Mom resided at the Renoir for three and a half years where Mom called it home. It is with deep gratitude we thank the doctors and nurses of unit 68 for their kindness and tender loving care of our mom.

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her loving children Linda (Terry), Scott (Cheri), Eileen (Derek), Gerry Malin (Kim), Debbie (Mike). She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was so proud to be their grandmother/great grandmother. Norma was predeceased by her first husband Monty Montgomery in 1969; her second husband John, daughter Kim, and granddaughter Geneva in 2013.

A private family service will be held. Norma’s cremated remains will be laid to rest at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.

Donations may be made in memory of Norma to a charity of your choice.
