Nick Wozny

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nick Wozny on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 86.

Nick will be remembered as a devoted husband, son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his sister, Irene Kahut (Yone), and brother, Glen Wozny (Jeanette), both of Calgary, Alberta; his nephew, Darren Wozny (Sophie); his nieces, Cindy Wozny (Dave) of Redwater, Alberta, Jolene Veno (Stu) of Drumheller, Alberta, and Krystal Wozny of Chestermere, Alberta; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Katherine Vera Wozny (2019); his parents, Victoria and George Wozny; and his brother, Norm Wozny (Lillie).

Nick was born on March 25, 1938, in Calder, SK. In 1960 he married Katherine and they relocated to Calgary, AB in 1971. Nick worked for many years at Barber Industries until his retirement and was a proud member of Boilermakers Lodge #146.

Nick was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he cherished his time spent at rodeos, camping, and tractor pulls.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Woodhouse and the dedicated staff at Monterey Seniors Village for the exceptional care they provided to Nick.
