It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nell Shorrock announces her passing on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the age of 75 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 years, Gordon Shorrock of Calgary, AB; children, Lynn Moore of Calgary, AB, James Shorrock of Calgary, AB, and Jack (Shelly) Shorrock of Chestermere, AB; grandchildren, Crystal Munroe, Jacquie (Vance) Weigand, Tara Munroe, Christina Shorrock, and Eddie Shorrock; great grandchild, Annalee Munroe; siblings, Sandra (Gilbert) Gosselin, Gail Goodall, and Barry Brown; aunt, Helen Brown; and numerous family and friends. Nell was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Lushington; brother, Carl Brown; and parents, Warren and Lois Brown. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Intercare Southwood Hospice and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their compassionate care. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Nell’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, #200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5. A Memorial Service will be held at Pierson’s Funeral service, 4121 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
