Neil Ronald Hansen

Neil Hansen passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the age of 51 years. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years Rosemarie; sons Christopher (Amber), Lynden (Jessie) and Tyler (Amanda); grandchildren Heather and Kevin and one more little one expected in July; livelong friend Tom McColloch; and so many treasured family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Heather and his parents Max and Kay. Neil was a proud Canadian and a true Calgarian, born and raised. He attended Bishop Pinkham and Central Memorial schools and he spoke fondly of the days of chess club and band. He loved sports and both actively and in the stands, He was a dedicated fan of the Flames and Stamps. He loved to talk, he was infectious as he talked to anyone and everyone alike. His greatest passion was his family and friends whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched throughout the years. A Celebration of Neil’s life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with Tributes at 2:00 pm. Donations may be made in Neil’s memory to a charity of your choice or in true Neil Hansen fashion through performing a random act of kindness.
