Michael Robert Andrew Kearns Jan 29 1983-July 21 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a father, son and brother. Michael passed away July 21, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.
Michael will be greatly missed by his children Emily, Keenan and Austin. He also leaves behind his parents Mike Kearns and Betty (Phil) Gregoire; his sisters Michelle (Chris) and Pamela (Nolan); nieces Ava, Alyssa and Alexzandra and nephew Thanos; paternal grandparents Andrew and Shirley Kearns, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert Paterson and Diane Bridgen.
He will be missed by many friends, especially his best friend Kevin.
Michael enjoyed camping and working in the yard but his long time passions were hockey and baseball, he excelled at his positions of goalie and pitcher for many years.
The family would like to send a special thanks to all the staff on Unit 28 at the Peter Lougheed Centre for all there efforts and support.
In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Peter Lougheed Centre ICU or to the HOPE program ( the Human Organ Procurement and Exchange) through Calgary Health Trust.
A viewing will be held for Michael Friday July 29, 2016, from 7-9pm at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary). A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016, at 1pm at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary).
