Michael Thomas Prosser

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael (Mick) Thomas Prosser, aged 83, on September 18, 2026, at his home.

Mick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Suzanne; his brother Ian (Louise); sisters-in-law Monique (Leon) and Rolande (Wayne); and his children Seamus, Sean (Judie), Michael (Michaela), and Myles.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his nephew and nieces, Christopher, Ali (Chris), Rhys, Ieuan, and Ffion.

Mick was a much-loved grandfather to Nick (Eleanor), Andrew, Rory, Holly (Noah), Kayleigh (Nathan), Teri, Jamie (Dylan), Alexis, Seamus, and Cara, and a cherished great-grandfather to Kaatie, Amy, Sabrina, Rosalie, Jaxson, Darcie, and Hugh.

Mick will be deeply missed by his many friends, with a special mention of Kevin and Alexandra Morley and Bill and Faye George.

Mick was predeceased by his mother, Lily Crane; his father, Leonard Prosser; his sister, Patricia; his nephews, Mark and Nicholas; and his first wife, Christine Miskulin.

Mick began working at the age of 15 in the coal mines of the Midlands of England. He truly enjoyed his work, but even more than the work itself, he valued the camaraderie and friendships he shared with the men alongside him.

Mick had a wonderful gift for storytelling. He was a natural jokester, always ready with a story, a laugh, or a bit of mischief. He had a way of making people feel welcome and was a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

His stories, humour, kindness, friendship, and knowledge, which he so willingly shared, will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Mick lived a life filled with family, friendship, laughter, and many stories that will continue to be told for years to come.

At Mick’s request, there will be no funeral service.
