Melvin Lavern Beckley

Mel (our Husband, Father, Grand Father, Great Grand Father, Uncle, Friend) passed away surrounded by family with wonderful care at the Rosedale Hospice after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Most of Mel’s working years were with the Alberta Liquor Control Board. He was a devoted husband to Joyce with whom he loved to camp, travel to Nevada and Arizona, and spend time with family and friends. Mel is also survived by his children Larry (Jamie) and children Steven (Tawnya), Spencer (Kim), great grand children Asher and beautiful Serene; Linda (Robert) Habkirk and children Sarah and Katy; Lori (Allan) Dyer and children Samantha and Scott; as well his loving sister Anne (Gordon), brother-in-law Norm, sister-in-law Joy and many nieces and nephews. Mel was predeceased by his parents Leo and Irma, sister Irene and brother Don. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rosedale Hospice would be gratefully accepted
