Mary Young

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Young announces her passing on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 87 years in Cochrane, Alberta. Mary is survived by her children Kathy (Dale) Juett, Jannette Young-Laroque, Tony (Lisa) Young, Angela (Gord) Hart, and Jonathan (Shannon) Young; her grandchildren Taylor and Daniel Juett, Clint (Kala) Young, Stephanie Laroque, Elise Young, Devinne, Justin and Michael Hart, Tanner, Cole, Mitchell, and Ethan Young, and Alexa (Joseph) Webb; as well as her four great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Frank Ernest Young, her parents Emmelina Jameson/Smith and James Crawford, and her sisters Jesse Watt, Lena Moore and Cathie Charteris. Mary was the type of person who if you had the pleasure of meeting you would not soon forget. Church life played an important role in Mary’s life, Sundays were her favorite day of the week. She enjoyed going for walks, spending time with her books, tending to her spectacular garden, and her true passion, spending as much time with her family as she could. A Funeral Service will be held for Mary at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Coach Hill Chapel (996 Stathcona Dr. SW, Calgary) on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
