Mary Cecile Boulware passed away on October 28, 2023, the day of her 70th birthday, at her home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Mary was the third child born to Robert & Genia Boulware. She was preceded in death by her father, her sister-in-law Rene, her mother and her brother Philip. She is survived by her older brother Michael (Rene); Philip’s wife Terry; her nieces and nephews Lisa (Mark Ozias), Kelly (Melinda); Maggie (Dan, Ayla & Elyse Dumouchel), Whitney (Mark, Oliva and Emma Livas), Hunter; her Uncle David Kelly in Louisiana as well as the cousins and Boggs, Byrd and Coyle families.
Mary split her time between her home in Calgary and in Palm Desert, California. She was an active horse rider and owner, participating and often winning many endurance and cross country competitive trail rides on her beloved horses Cairo and Fly. Through her love of riding she met her best friend of nearly forty years, Grace Milewski, and many more that are considered family as well. She loved all animals and once worked as a senior animal health technician. For many years she ran the successful Britannia Plaza shop The Elegant John, a neighborhood favourite. She leaves behind her very loved cat Gumper, who will remain with family that will care for him like Mary did.
We love you Mary, we’ll miss you.
There will be a celebration of life held in Plain Dealing, Louisiana at a later date in early 2024.
